The Boy's fans have taken to social media to show support for Karl Urban as the next Wolverine.

To many, Hugh Jackman is and will only ever be the real Wolverine. However, if an actor was to replace him, Karl Urban seems the perfect fit.

Here's a deepfake video to prove it.

The first X-Men was a real hit in 2000, largely due to the near perfect casting choice of Hugh Jackman. It's been 20 years since the original X-Men and it's been famously reported that Hugh Jackman has hung up his claws and finished with the role. With 2017's Logan being Jackman's final role, the bosses at Marvel need to find a suitable replacement.

Much like James Bond, Wolverine is one of those high profile Film characters who will always have to be reinvented to suit the casting choice. Say hello to Karl Urban...

Currently on our screens as Billy Butcher from The Boys, Urban has enjoyed a lot of success in his career.

The New Zealand born actor has played some familiar characters recently. Leonard McCoy from the 2009 Star Trek reboot, The Executioner from the fantastic Thor Ragnarock and of course Judge Dredd from the 2012 reboot "Dredd".

Of course Urban is not the only actor rumoured with the role, here is the current list of actors rumoured to play the character;

  1. Tom Hardy

  2. Scott Eastwood

  3. Luke Evans

  4. Aiden Turner

  5. Jason Mamoa

  6. Taylor Kitsch

  7. Charlie Hunnam

  8. Taron Egerton

Some great names I think you'll agree, but of those listed, who realistically can play the character made so famous by Mr Jackson?

Tom Hardy is notorious for being picky with roles and already has his job as Venom, Jason Mamoa is already gaining his own Superhero following as Aquaman among other projects so we can count those two out.

Scott Eastwood could fit the role but is largely known for smaller parts and a lot of audiences wouldn't know who he is, Although it would be a great role for him to move out of the shadow of his father, one fo the greatest actors that ever lived...Clint Eastwood.

Nice guy Luke Evans...we can imagine him running around slashing throats, while belting out a song from Beauty and the Beast, sorry Luke, not for us.

Our two picks from this list...

Karl Urban and Taylor Kitsch.

Taylor Kitsch is a fantastic Canadian actor, if you haven't seen Savages we urge you to set a reminder and watch it when you have a spare 2 hours. However, those of you with a good memory might remember seeing Kitsch in X-Men Origins as Gambit. It was rumoured for years that a Gambit Movie would make it's way to the silver screen but it was never made official and it seems those days are long gone. If we can put that behind us and imagine him as the new Wolverine, i think we have two actors who could fight it out to the death for the role.

Who's your favourite?

Thanks to STRYDER HD for the deepfake video.

Ryan Reynolds' new film Free Guy will not be releasing in theatres in December 2020. Free Guy was slated for a December 11th release, due to the coronavirus pandemic the studio has decided to push back the release indefinitely.

Major movie studios have started to pull potential box office hits from release, others include No Time To Die, the next instalment starring Daniel Craig and Mulan, the highly anticipated live action remake which was added to Disney+ premium earlier this year.

With no new date announced, it's unclear when we will see Free Guy hit cinemas. Starring Ryan Reynolds as "Guy" and Jodie Comer as "Milly" whom you might recognise from the brilliant Killing Eve, Free Guy centres around Reynolds' character who is an NPC (non playable character) in a popular video game. Guy suddenly becomes self aware and decides enough is enough, things get crazy from there.

Reynolds has had somewhat of a resurgence in the last 5 years, mainly due to the success of the Deadpool franchise. Suffering from the famous Matthew McConaughey disease "too many rom com's" Reynolds spent most of the 2000's starring in OK comedies aimed at teenage audiences. For the most part these movies did the job and while some were better then others it didn't really do his career any harm.

Unfortunately for Reynolds, cinema has largely changed over the last decade and teenage comedies are no longer a big draw for theatres. His R rated Deadpool, which he tried for years to get off the ground finally got made and the rest is history. He is now one of the go to stars for action movies with a hint of comedy. The fantastic 6 Underground proved that although he hasn't changed the way he acts, he has picked more grown up roles that suit his style.

With Reynolds, you either love him, or hate him...and we certainly love him.

With streaming services paying huge sums of money for exclusive rights to release, it is perfectly possible that we may see Free Guy pop up on a service soon.

We'll bring news of release dates as soon as we have word, for now, enjoy the trailer below...

Lethal weapon 5 is currently being worked on, confirms Mel Gibson.

It's been over 22 years since the last Lethal weapon hit the screens. Rumours surrounding a potential sequel have been circulating for a number of years, now it seems Mel Gibson has finally confirmed that the long awaited sequel is in the works.

When asked in an interview with GMA whether a sequel would work he said "The man who was behind all of that, the man who brought it to the screen and gave it the goodies is working on it right now, Richard Donner, he's a legend"

Richard Donner, 90, helmed the first 4 movies and despite his age shows no signs of slowing down.

The veteran Director has also had a number of hits including the original Superman movies (1978) and (1980), The Goonies (1985) and Assassins (1995) starring Sylvester Stallone and Antonio Banderas.

You may remember the short lived Lethal weapon TV show which ran from 2016-2019. The show cast Damon Wayans as Roger Murtaugh and Clayne Crawford as Martin Riggs.

Clayne Crawfords' Riggs was killed off at the end of season 2 and the show was cancelled a season later.

Hopefully the fifth instalment of the franchise can live up to the previous four and give us some closure on whether Roger Murtaugh really will retire... after all, he's "way too old for this s*'@t".

Which Lethal Weapon film was your favourite?
